How to Submit the SG Arrival Card Online

Submitting the SG Arrival Card online is a straightforward process that takes about 5 to 7 minutes. The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) offers two official channels — the e-Service website and the MyICA mobile app. Both are free and available 24 hours a day.

This guide walks you through every step of the online submission, from opening the form to receiving your confirmation email.

Before you start

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • Your passport (valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date)
  • Your flight number or vessel details
  • Your Singapore accommodation address (hotel name and address)
  • A working email address
  • Your phone number

You cannot submit the SGAC more than 3 days before your arrival date. The system will reject early submissions.

Method 1: ICA e-Service website

The official submission portal is at eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard. This is the most common method and works on any device with a web browser.

Step 1: Select your traveller type

When you open the e-Service, you see two options:

  • Foreign Visitor — SGAC — for tourists, business travellers, and short-term visitors
  • Singapore Resident — for citizens, PRs, and long-term pass holders

Select the option that applies to you. Most readers of this guide will choose Foreign Visitor.

Step 2: Enter personal details

Fill in your personal information exactly as it appears on your passport:

  • Full name (including middle names)
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport number
  • Passport expiry date
  • Gender
  • Country of birth

Double-check every field. A mismatch between your SGAC and your passport can cause problems at immigration.

Step 3: Add travel information

Next, enter your travel details:

  • Arrival date in Singapore
  • Mode of transport (air, sea, or land)
  • Flight number or vessel name
  • Last country of embarkation (where you boarded)
  • Next country of disembarkation (where you go after Singapore, if known)
  • Departure date from Singapore

The system uses your flight number to verify your arrival date, so enter it correctly.

Step 4: Enter accommodation details

Provide your Singapore address:

  • Accommodation type (hotel, serviced apartment, residential, other)
  • Postal code
  • Block or house number
  • Street name

If you are staying at a hotel, enter the hotel name and its postal code. The system may auto-fill the address once you enter the postal code.

Step 5: Complete the health declaration

The health declaration is part of the SGAC form. You must answer:

  • Have you visited Africa or Latin America in the past 6 days before arrival?
  • Do you currently have fever, cough, shortness of breath, headache, or vomiting?

Answer honestly. False declarations carry the same penalties as failing to submit the SGAC.

Step 6: Review and submit

Before submitting, review all entered information. The system shows a summary page where you can edit any mistakes. Once you are satisfied, click Submit.

You will see a confirmation screen with your submission reference number. Save this number or take a screenshot.

Method 2: MyICA Mobile App

The MyICA app is available for free on iOS and Android. It offers the same functionality as the website with the added convenience of saved profiles.

Download and install

  • iOS: Search “MyICA” in the App Store
  • Android: Search “MyICA” in Google Play

The app is published by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore.

Create an account

  1. Open the app and tap “Register”
  2. Enter your email address and create a password
  3. Verify your email through the confirmation link
  4. Log in with your new credentials

Submit your SGAC

  1. From the home screen, tap “Submit SG Arrival Card”
  2. Select Foreign Visitor or Singapore Resident
  3. Enter the same details as the website method (personal, travel, accommodation, health declaration)
  4. Review and submit

Save profiles for future trips

The app lets you save passport details for yourself and family members. On your next trip, you only need to update travel and accommodation information, saving several minutes per submission.

After submission

Once you submit the SGAC through either method:

  1. You receive a confirmation email within minutes
  2. For foreign visitors, the email includes an electronic Visit Pass (e-Pass)
  3. The e-Pass is linked to your passport number — no printing needed
  4. At the immigration checkpoint, the officer retrieves your details electronically

Keep the confirmation email accessible on your phone. While the e-Pass is linked to your passport, having the email as backup helps if there are technical issues at the checkpoint.

Submitting for groups and families

Both the website and app support group submissions:

  • Website: After completing one person’s details, click “Add another traveller” before submitting. You can add multiple people and submit all at once.
  • App: Save family member profiles and select them when submitting. Each person still gets their own SGAC, but you manage them together.

For group trips, one person can submit for the entire group as long as they have everyone’s passport details.

Updating your SGAC

If your plans change after submission, you can update your SGAC:

  1. Go to the ICA e-Service or open the MyICA app
  2. Look for the “Retrieve/Update” option
  3. Enter your passport number and date of birth
  4. Update the relevant fields (arrival date, accommodation, etc.)
  5. Resubmit

You can update your SGAC any time before arrival. There is no limit on the number of updates.

Common errors and how to fix them

“Submission period not yet open” — You are trying to submit more than 3 days before arrival. Wait until the 3-day window opens.

“Passport number not recognised” — Check for typos. The number must match your passport exactly, including any letters.

“Invalid flight number” — Make sure you enter the correct airline code and flight number (e.g., SQ321, not Singapore Airlines 321).

“Accommodation address required” — You must provide a valid Singapore address. If staying with friends or family, enter their residential address.

No confirmation email received — Check your spam folder. If still missing, log back into the e-Service to verify your submission was recorded.

Security tips

  • Only use the official ICA website (eservices.ica.gov.sg) or the MyICA app
  • Never share your SGAC submission reference with strangers
  • Do not use third-party websites that charge fees for SGAC submission
  • The official SGAC is free — ICA does not charge any processing fees
